Before teaming up with Keizo Shimizu of Nepenthes, Daiki Suzuki worked as a stylist, writer and salesperson. He moved to the US in 1989 in his position as a buyer and lived in Boston, New York and San Francisco. After returning to New York in 1999, he launched Engineered Garments, which is manufactured in New York City. Starting in 2004, he showed his collections at Pitti Uomo. In 2010, the Nepenthes store was opened in the Garment District. In 2013, Daiki showed his collection on the runway for the first time. Daiki hails from Aomori, Japan and is an avid surfer. By now you may have heard that Engineered Garments showed its SS14 collection on the runway for the first time ever in July....
