Musician, artist, and photographer
The Burmese-Japanese, Brooklyn-based artist has had solo exhibitions at D’Amelio Terras gallery (New York) and Vleeshal (the Netherlands), as well as showing in numerous group exhibitions at galleries such as Deitch Projects and John Connelly Presents. His photography and art have graced the covers of publications such as The Fader, Flaunt, and Artforum, and have appeared in V, i-D, and Please!, among others. As a musician, Hisham has participated in various projects including Black Dice and Pixeltan. In addition to Soft Circle, his current project, he is known for his involvement as musical director of the now-legendary 77 BOADRUM performance, as well as his participation in subsequent BOADRUM shows. He visited Burma in January 2013 where he saw the amazing country his father grew up in for the first time in his life.
