Originally from Chicago, he followed his father’s footstep and became a newspaperman before he moved to New York and joined GQ where he covers Style. As a painter, he had his first solo exhibit titled “Less Human/More Being” in 2009 at Thom Browne’s store. In 2013, he released his memoir After Visiting Friends, a powerful tale of a son who chased his dead father’s secrets.
