Designer, Textile Maker, and Artist
After studying photography at art school, Shabd accidentally discovered Tie Dye and ended up creating a whole line of fashion by hand-dying her own fabrics under her first name. She freely crossed over into fashion and art by collaborating with artists, and has taught many classes (and even one to Martha Stewart). As a child, she thought about changing her name to Zoe before deciding she liked her real name. She is originally from Washington D.C. and is presently based in Brooklyn.
